Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Calculator inputs. Numbers you type into the calculators stay in your browser. We don't send them to our servers unless you choose to save a scenario to your account.
• Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and optional display name through Firebase Authentication. Passwords are hashed by Firebase and never visible to us.
• Saved scenarios. Scenarios you save are stored in Firebase Firestore and linked to your account so you can access them from any device. You can delete a scenario at any time from the My Saved Scenarios page.
• Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records page views, custom events (button clicks, scenario saves, exports), and basic device and approximate-location information. If you reject, Google Analytics still receives cookieless pings for traffic modeling, but no identifiers or cookies are stored on your device.
• Advertising. We display ads via Google AdSense to keep the calculators free. If you accept advertising cookies, you may see personalized ads. If you reject, you'll see non-personalized contextual ads only.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential. Required to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as theme and your cookie choice). These are always on.
• Analytics. Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*). Set only when you accept analytics.
• Advertising. Google AdSense cookies used to serve and measure ads. Personalization is set only when you accept advertising.

We use Google's Consent Mode v2 so that, when you reject, no advertising or analytics identifiers are stored on your device.

Third parties

The services below process information on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy:

Google may process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. By using the site, you acknowledge this cross-border processing.

How long we keep data

• Account data and saved scenarios are kept until you delete them or close your account.
• Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults (currently 2 months for cookieless pings and 14 months for granted analytics events).
• Your cookie preference is stored in your browser's local storage until you clear it.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Withdraw consent and request deletion of your account and saved scenarios.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Managing your cookie choice
